Here’s an interesting photo from Sunday’s Democracy Day thanksgiving service. It features Nigeria’s senate president, David Mark and the First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
Mark was holding the fort in the absence of President Goodluck Jonathan, who is away in Ethiopia. Don’t get it twisted please, he was holding the fort in the service as the highest ranking elected Christian public officer, not holding the fort in the other more personal way.
